This September, Bali Satay House had the amazing opportunity to bring authentic Indonesian food to CelebrASIA at Battersea Power Station, one of the most exciting London food festivals of the year. We set up our pop-up stall with our signature dishes — and were completely blown away by the response.

To our surprise (and joy), we had queues of people lining up for Indonesian street food all weekend long. The atmosphere was electric, the Battersea backdrop was stunning, and the support we received made this a milestone moment for our restaurant.

Serving Our Signature Indonesian Dishes

We wanted CelebrASIA visitors to experience the very best of our Indonesian food, so we brought along our most-loved dishes:

🍜 Mie Goreng – authentic Indonesian fried noodles, wok-fried with rich, bold flavors.

🍚 Nasi Goreng – Indonesia’s famous fried rice, packed with taste and tradition.

🔥 Chef’s Special Sate – our house-grilled skewers of chicken, lamb, and tempe, served with Bali Satay House’s signature peanut sauce.

It was non-stop all weekend. Our grill never had a moment’s rest, and neither did we — but it was the best kind of tired. The kind that leaves you smiling at the end of the day, knowing that every ounce of effort was worth it.

The Response That Moved Us

Seeing so many people enjoy our dishes, hearing the kind words, and watching those happy smiles reminded us exactly why we do what we do. Food, for us, isn’t just

about cooking — it’s about connection, culture, and sharing a piece of Bali with London.

We honestly didn’t expect the overwhelming support we received, but we’re so grateful for it. From first-timers curious about Indonesian food to regulars who traveled out to see us, every single person made the weekend unforgettable.

From Battersea Back to Barnet

While the CelebrASIA pop-up was a huge success, our home is still right here at Bali Satay House in Barnet. If you missed us at Battersea Power Station, don’t worry — you can enjoy these very same dishes (and many more) everyday, except Mondays at our restaurant.

So whether you’re searching for authentic Indonesian food in Barnet or want to explore one of the best Indonesian restaurants in London, we’d love to welcome you. From comforting nasi goreng to smoky sate skewers fresh from the grill, our menu brings the spirit of Bali straight to your table.

Thank You

To everyone who queued up, cheered us on, and tasted our food at CelebrASIA Battersea Power Station — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support means everything to us.

We look forward to welcoming you soon at Bali Satay House, Barnet’s home for authentic Indonesian food.
